I wrote this song on Thursday for that evening’s Railway Roots singers’ night in celebration of the lives of Jenny Flintoft, Roger Johnson and Angus Cameron, friends of the club who were sadly lost to Covid-19. It was a beautiful night with good friends, remembering good times. I wanted to share the song in memory of Jenny, Roger and Angus, and for anyone else who has been lost to the pandemic.
Railway Roots is a fantastic monthly night of grass-roots music, words and performance, at the Railway Inn in Portslade, East Sussex. It’s hosted by Robb Johnson, one of the most amazing songwriters working today. For more info, see https://www.railwayroots.co.uk/ and https://www.robbjohnson.co.uk/.
